How to replace a washing machine cuff?

When replacing a seal, a large set of measures is carried out. First, the washing machine is disconnected from the network, the water supply is also shut off and the drain and inlet hoses are removed. After this, the device is moved to a place where it will be more convenient to carry out repairs. Let us stipulate right away: when calling a technician, tell the operator the model of the machine in which the seal needs to be replaced. The following work is then carried out:

• The case is disassembled. To do this, the technician unscrews the screws holding the top cover, pulls it towards himself and lifts it. Then the powder tray is taken out to remove the control panel and the front wall. The powder receptacle is removed completely. There are screws on both sides of the niche in which it was. The screws are unscrewed, after which the control module is removed. You need to act extremely carefully, because there is wiring behind the module. It is not disconnected, just removed along with the control panel.
• Next, use a screwdriver to hook the cover that covers the debris filter. After opening it, remove the emergency drain hose and unscrew the screw that holds the panel. Pull the panel off the latches and remove it as well.

• Open the two screws holding the UBL, remove the device. Then remove the front wall, also move it to the side.
• The hose that is put on the seal nipple is dismantled. The master removes the cuff from the tank. To do this, he pulls it off the grooves.
• A new rubber band is installed. It is turned with the nipple upward. The arrow on the seal must match the arrow on the body. The technological holes must be at the bottom. After installation, the rubber band is fixed with an internal clamp. A new clamp is usually purchased. The work must be carried out extremely carefully so as not to accidentally damage the new seal.
• After installing the seal, the washing machine is assembled in the reverse order.
